Each year, the MSDU Quiz Bowl brings together student teams from sonography programs across the Midwest for a lively and good-natured competition. This event gives students the opportunity to test their knowledge in real time, cheer on their classmates, and connect with peers from other programs. The Quiz Bowl is designed to highlight not only what students have learned, but also their teamwork, quick thinking, and growing confidence as future sonographers.

We’re proud to host an event that supports the next generation of our profession. Whether they walk away with a trophy or simply enjoy the experience, participating students gain valuable insight, community, and encouragement as they prepare for their careers. Join us in recognizing their hard work and celebrating the bright future of sonography in the Midwest.
Student Grant Application
We will accept applications for grants beginning January 2026 from students planning on attending the annual MSDU Spring Seminar. Grant recipients will be selected via lottery of all applications received by March 15th. Notification of grant awards will be made via email, and applications have 48 hours to respond and accept the grant. Click on the Download button below to fill out the application and submit.

To be eligible: a student must be enrolled in an accredited diagnostic medical sonography, cardiovascular technology, or echocardiography program, and register for the seminar. The applicant cannot be reimbursed from another source such as a scholarship or employers. A total of 5 student grants will be awarded.
